The time has come for all of us to unite and celebrate Thalaivar

It is with overwhelming gratitude that I write this to the members of the press and media. I have been fortunate to have had the constant show of love and support from the press and media fraternity right from my debut with Pizza in 2012. The overwhelming appreciation that the press and media showered on me is what made the world sit up and take notice of me and my work. 

All my past four films – Pizza, Jigarthanda, Iraivi and Mercury – have had the blessing and support of the members of the press and media, which eventually brought me the opportunity to work with my one and only Thalaivar Superstar Rajinikanth. And from the moment the announcement of the same was made, I have been overwhelmed with positive words of encouragement and love showered on me and “Petta”. The extent of love that I have been getting from the members of the press and media has made me aware of my responsibilities as a filmmaker and I believe that I have fulfilled the same with “Petta”.

“Petta” starring Thalaivar Superstar Rajinikanth and produced by Mr.Kalanithi Maran, Sun TV Network Limited, is all set to release on January 10th, 2019. I am excited to show you the result of the incredibly dreamy journey me and my team have had over the last ten months. The time has come for all of us to unite and celebrate Thalaivar. I am sure every one of you will “Get Rajinified”.

“Petta” is an out and out entertainer that will satisfy the expectations of fans. I hope that the members of the press and media continue the love and support that me and my previous films have received. I request the members of the press and media to preserve the surprises the film has to offer. I sincerely request every one of you to keep the surprises in the film undisclosed while writing your reviews and articles, so that every single viewer out there gets to experience the fullness of the cinematic experience and Thalaivarism that “Petta” has to offer.
