'Namma Kalaivanar' Vivekh meets 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja
Making good use of the Covid-19 induced lockdown, 'Namma Kalaivanar' Vivekh learnt to play on piano maestro Ilaiyaraja's songs that are close his heart. And, he has won the praise of the 'Isaignani' himself.
Talking about this, an elated Vivekh says, "I started practising Raja sir's songs on the piano which was used by my son. Among them, I like the evergreen number 'Idhazhil kadhai ezhudhum neramidhu...' from 'Unnal Mudiyum Thambi' the most.
When I paid a courtesy visit to Raja sir at his new studio recently, I gave him a statue of Lord Buddha as a token of respect. While interacting with him, I told him that I started learning piano inspired by him and also showed him the video of me playing 'Idhazhil kadhai ezhudhum neramidhu...' on piano. He was impressed and appreciated me."
Giving more details, Vivekh says, "I also told Raja sir that I had bought a piano and requested his photograph and autograph on it for the future generations to remember.
On hearing this, the Isaignani happily autographed on a photo of his and also wrote: 'Iraiyarul Niraiga'. Soon, I will engrave his picture and autograph on the piano. My wish is that he should be the first to play the piano. He has accepted to fulfil my wish and bless me."
