SRMIST Inaugurates New Sports Hostel and Felicitates Distinguished Alumni

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), through its Directorate of Sports, successfully organized the inauguration of the SRM Sports Hostel and a Distinguished Alumni Felicitation Ceremony at the Milkha Singh Stadium, Kattankulathur Campus.

The function was presided over by Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Founder Chancellor, SRMIST, in the presence of Dr. Ravi Pachamuthu, Pro Chancellor (Administration); Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, Pro Chancellor (Academics); and Shri S. Balaji, Trustee, SRMIST.

The Sports Hostel was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Thiru. R. Aadhav Arjuna, Hon'ble Minister for Public Works and Sports Development, Government of Tamil Nadu. The function was further graced by the Special Guests, Thiru. S. Thiyagarajan, Hon'ble MLA, Chengalpattu Assembly Constituency, and Thiru. B. Vijayaraj, Hon'ble MLA, Thiruporur Assembly Constituency.

On the occasion, SRMIST felicitated Thiru. R. Aadhav Arjuna, Thiru. S. Thiyagarajan, and Thiru. B. Vijayaraj, all distinguished SRMIST alumni, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and exemplary service to society.

In his address, Thiru. R. Aadhav Arjuna praised SRMIST for its outstanding support to sportspersons by providing free education, free boarding and lodging, world-class sports infrastructure, and high-quality coaching. He appreciated the University's holistic commitment to helping talented athletes excel in both academics and sports.And wish the SRMIST for the future Olympic Goal...
