Namibia Captain Frustrated Over Limited Night Practice
Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus has expressed his frustration over his team’s training schedule ahead of their important T20 World Cup match against India. He revealed that the team has not had a single practice session under lights, even though the match will be played at night under floodlights.
Erasmus explained that practising under floodlights is very important because the conditions in a night match are very different from a daytime game. The ball behaves differently, visibility changes, and fielding can become more challenging. He said that the lack of such practice could make it harder for players to perform at their best during the match.
Despite these challenges, Erasmus said the team is staying positive and focused. He mentioned that Namibia is preparing hard in whatever ways possible and trying to adapt quickly to the night conditions.
The upcoming game against India, one of the strongest and most favoured teams in the tournament, will be a major test for Namibia. Erasmus believes that the players will need to stay mentally and physically ready to face the challenges and hopes that even with limited practice under lights, the team can give a strong performance.
Fans of Namibia and cricket enthusiasts are watching closely, hoping that the team can overcome these difficulties and compete well against the tournament favourites.
