SRMIST Vadapalani Campus Successfully Hosts Founder’s Birthday Trophy 2026 – Intercollegiate Arm-Wrestling Tournament
The Department of Physical Education and Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Vadapalani Campus, successfully organized the Founder’s Birthday Trophy 2026 – Intercollegiate Arm-Wrestling Tournament for Men and Women on 5th September 2026.Organised as part of the Founder’s Birthday celebrations, the tournament promoted sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence among students. Participants from various colleges enthusiastically showcased their strength, skill, and competitive spirit. The Prize Distribution Ceremony commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address by Dr. T. Thenmozhi, Physical Directress. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. Arasu Mounaguru, CEO of Ateliers Gym and Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Bodybuilding Association, addressed the gathering and inspired the students through his motivational speech. Dr. R. Mohana Krishna, Director of Sports, SRMIST, also delivered a special address, highlighting the importance of sports and physical fitness in the overall development of students. The winners were honoured during the prize distribution ceremony. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K. Rangaraj, Physical Director, followed by the National Anthem.
