Amor Hospitals hosts a Walkathon & Cardio awareness camp to mark World Heart Day

To commemorate World Heart Day 2025, Amor Hospitals, a leading healthcare provider in the city, organized a Walkathon followed by a Cardio Awareness Camp today. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about heart health and promoting fitness as a lifestyle choice.
The Walkathon event flagged off at 6:00 a.m. from Amor Hospitals, covering a 5-kilometer route via IDL Lake Road before returning to the hospital campus. The event began with a warm-up session led by a professional fitness trainer and physiotherapist, followed by a safety briefing on route details, hydration points, and medical support. To ensure safety, lead and tail vehicles accompanied walkers throughout the ride.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Kishore B Reddy, Managing Director, Amor Hospital, said, "World Heart Day reminds us that prevention is as vital as treatment. Through this Walkathon and awareness camp, we aim to encourage people to take active steps towards maintaining their heart health. It also improves mental well-being by lowering anxiety and depression, boosts energy levels, and enhances sleep quality. Regular movement strengthens bones and muscles, helps maintain a healthy weight, and contributes to better brain function and memory."
Following the Walkathon, Amor Hospitals organised a full-day Cardio awareness camp on its premises. The camp included free consultations, screenings, and interactive sessions with cardiologists to educate the community about heart disease prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices.
