Group Legrand India provided over 2000 beds for hospitals & healthcare facilities and 2.6 lakh PPE kits to Doctors,Health workers, electricians, journalists (Chennai Press club), drivers community & police officials

Avadi, Thiruvallur, 11th October 2021: As  part of Group Legrand India’s CSR initiative and to meet the rising oxygen demand for treatment of COVID-19 patients, Legrand  India, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure today donated oxygen generation container unit of 20 NM3 capacity to Avadi Government Hospital, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu in association with Rotary club of Madras.

S.M.Nasar, Minister for Milk & Diary development of Tamil Nadu in presence of Tiruvallur District Collector - Dr. Alby John Vargese, Member of Parliament Tiruvallur District, Dr. K. Jayakumar, Tiruvallur  Jt. Director Health, Dr. Shanthi, Legrand CSR Head Abida Aneez and Rotary officials.

The Oxygen Generator (SPARCO) is a 20NM3 per hour Oxygen generator carries a capacity of 333 liters per minute (LPM) which can serve oxygen up to 65 beds simultaneously. 

With support of Collective Good Foundation, Legrand Group India is launching 6 months COVID-19 vaccination drive for vulnerable communities in Chennai, Bangalore, Noida, Pune, Nashik and Cochin from 2nd week of October. We plan to cover 60,000 people in the 1st phase of vaccination drive.  

One of the key focus areas of Legrand India is healthcare when it comes to giving back to the society. In past, Legrand has also supported govt. hospitals & Covid Care centres with ICU beds, ventilators, Medical consumables, disposable isolation beds etc.. The team has enabled support through its electrical products such as protection devices, wiring devices and UPS for hospitals and healthcare facilities countrywide which will house over 2000 beds and intensive care facilities for COVID-19 patients.
