Director Vijay Sri G has been conveying important messages through his movies. 'Dha Dha 87' spoke about the love of transgenders, 'Powder' was based on the concept that women should be ready to protect themselves, while his upcoming 'Haraa' starring 'Silver Jubilee Star' Mohan conveys that children should be taught law right from a young age.

Following this, now the director is working on a project about the importance of manufacturing medicine for Spinal Muscular Atrophy in India. The movie is produced Ravi Raayan on V R International Movies banner.

Recently, we all have read and seen in the news that an anonymous man donated Rs 11 crore to a Kerala child who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The cost of this injection is a whopping Rs 17.5 crore.

Not long ago, many people had helped a child suffering from the same muscular atrophy in Tamil Nadu as well.

Vijay Sri G, the director of films such as 'Dha Dha 87', 'Powder', and 'Haraa', is directing the movie, which focuses on Spinal Muscular Atrophy and why its treatment costs so much.

Director Vijay Sri G said that 75 per cent shooting for the film has been completed and the title will be released soon.

The director further revealed that the film will deal with the struggles of a mother of a child suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

"In a country with a large population like India, there is no injection for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We have to import it from countries like the United States at a high price. This situation must change. While reaching the Sun and the Moon is important, Indian governement which aims to become a superpower should concentrate on manufacturing such life saving medicines in India at a low cost. The movie is based on this concept," Vijay Sri G said.

Anithra Nair plays the child's mother in the film. Baby Vedashya plays her daughter. Amala Paul's brother Abhijit Paul, Arjun Raj, Vijay TV Deepa, Silmisham Siva, Ravi Raayan as antagonist, Rail Ravi as Anithra's father, Powder Ramarajan, K R Arjun, Bank Rajesh and many other actors are also part of the cast.

The film will feature a leading actor as a lawyer to convey the message of the movie in a compelling and relatable manner.

Prahath Muniyasamy is the cinematographer and Rashaanth Arwin is composing the music. Nikil Murukan handles public relations.

Directed by Vijay Sri G and produced V R International Movies Ravi Raayan, the title of the movie based on Spinal Muscular Atrophy will be announced soon.
