இயக்குநர் பா. இரஞ்சித் இயக்கத்தில், நீலம் புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் மற்றும் லேர்ன் அண்ட் டீச் புரொடக்ஷன் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ள ‘வேட்டுவம்’ திரைப்படம், பொங்கல் 2027 பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகவுள்ளதாக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பொங்கல் பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு ‘தர்மன்’, ‘சேயோன்’ உள்ளிட்ட திரைப்படங்கள் வெளியாகும் எனத் தகவல்கள் வெளியாகி வந்த நிலையில், அவற்றின் வெளியீட்டுத் தேதிகள் குறித்த அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்புகள் இதுவரை வெளியாகவில்லை. இந்நிலையில், பொங்கல் 2027 வெளியீட்டை முதன்முதலாக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவித்துள்ள ‘வேட்டுவம்’, பொங்கல் திரையரங்க வெளியீட்டுப் போட்டியில் களமிறங்கியுள்ளது.
சமீபத்தில் வெளியான இப்படத்தின் ‘World of Vettuvam’ வீடியோ ரசிகர்கள் மற்றும் திரையுலகினர் மத்தியில் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றதுடன், படத்தின் மீதான எதிர்பார்ப்பையும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. தமிழ், இந்தி, தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம், கன்னடம் என ஐந்து மொழிகளில் வெளியான இந்த வீடியோவிற்கு, இந்தியில் பங்கஜ் திரிபாதி, தெலுங்கில் ராணா டகுபதி, மலையாளத்தில் சௌபின் ஷாஹிர், கன்னடத்தில் கிச்சா சுதீப், தமிழில் இயக்குநர் பா. இரஞ்சித் ஆகியோர் குரல் கொடுத்துள்ளனர்.
அப்போகலிப்டிக் பின்னணியில் உருவாகியுள்ள இப்படம், வெவ்வேறு குழுக்களுக்கு இடையிலான அதிகாரப் போட்டிகள், மோதல்கள், எதிர்பாராத திருப்பங்கள் எனப் பல்வேறு அம்சங்களைக் கொண்ட கதைக்களத்தில் பயணிக்கிறது. பாரம்பரியத் தற்காப்புக் கலைகளான அடிமுறை மற்றும் மல்லகம்ப் உள்ளிட்ட கலைகளை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு இப்படத்தின் சண்டைக் காட்சிகள் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதற்காகப் படத்தில் நடித்துள்ள நடிகர்கள் அனைவரும் முறையான பயிற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.

Pa. Ranjith’s Grand Apocalyptic Action Spectacle Becomes the First Film to Officially Enter the Pongal Race!
‘Vettuvam’, the much-anticipated apocalyptic action film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Pa. Ranjith and jointly produced by Neelam Productions and Learn and Teach Production, has officially announced its worldwide theatrical release for the festive occasion of Pongal 2027.
While reports have been circulating about the possible Pongal releases of ‘Dharman’ and ‘Seyon’, neither film has received an official release date announcement so far. With its latest announcement, ‘Vettuvam’ has become the first film to officially confirm its place in the Pongal 2027 release race.
The recently released ‘World of Vettuvam’ video has received an overwhelming response from audiences and members of the film fraternity, significantly raising expectations for the film. The video was released in five languages — Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Pankaj Tripathi lent his voice to the Hindi version, Rana Daggubati to the Telugu version, Soubin Shahir to the Malayalam version, Kiccha Sudeep to the Kannada version, and Pa. Ranjith himself to the Tamil version.
Set against an apocalyptic backdrop, ‘Vettuvam’ explores conflicts, rivalries and unexpected developments among different groups. The film’s action sequences have been choreographed around traditional martial arts forms, including Adimurai and Mallakhamb. The actors underwent extensive training to bring authenticity and intensity to their performances.
The film features Arya, Dinesh, Shabeer, Shobhita Dhulipala and Kalaiyarasan in pivotal roles.
The technical crew includes S.S. Moorthy as Art Director, Rupesh Shaji as Cinematographer, Selva R.K. as Editor, G.V. Prakash Kumar as Music Composer, and Dileep Subbarayan as Stunt Choreographer.
Made as a five-language pan-Indian cinematic spectacle, ‘Vettuvam’ is all set to arrive in theatres worldwide during the Pongal 2027 festive season, promising an intense and spectacular cinematic experience.
