The grand valedictory ceremony of the State-Level Women’s Intensive Self-Defense (Taekwondo) Tournament, jointly organized by SRM Educational Group and the Chengalpattu District Intensive Self-Defense Sports Association operating under Asmitha Khelo India, was held on 16/08/2025 at the Indoor Sports Arena of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur.
The event was presided over by Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal of SRM Arts and Science College. The Chief Guest, Mr. N. Sankara Narayanan, Additional Commissioner of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, delivered the keynote address and presented prizes to the winning teams.

For the first time in India, such a large-scale Taekwondo tournament was conducted exclusively for women, featuring 566 women taekwondo athletes from 19 districts of Tamil Nadu. In the overall championship standings, the top three positions were secured by the teams from Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, and Chennai, respectively.
