Tamil Nadu Elections 2026: Kollywood stars cast their votes
Polling for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections concluded yesterday across all 234 constituencies with a significant celebrity presence.
Superstar Rajinikanth was among the first to arrive at Stella Maris College, while Ajith Kumar caused a fan frenzy at his Thiruvanmiyur polling station.
Notably, actor Vijay, contesting his maiden election with his party Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), cast his vote in Neelankarai amid high security.
Other stars including Trisha, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, and Kamal Haasan were also seen fulfilling their civic duty throughout the day.
Election officials noted that the “star power” helped drive young voters to the booths, resulting in a healthy turnout across Chennai’s urban districts
The industry has largely remained neutral during the campaigning phase, though several actors took to social media to emphasize the importance of “informed voting” for the state’s future
