Netanyahu highlights India’s support while responding to Vance’s remarks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pointed to India’s support for Israel while responding to recent comments by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance

In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu rejected the suggestion that Israel’s only significant ally is the United States. He cited India’s large population and described the country as an important friend that has shown strong public support for Israel.

He also said Israel maintains relationships with several nations interested in cooperation on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and defence technologies, adding that international ties are stronger than they may appear publicly.

Vance had earlier remarked that Israel should avoid criticising the United States, describing America as its only major ally.
