BJP Set for Third Win in Assam

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to win the upcoming Assembly elections in Assam for the third time in a row, according to the latest Tracker Poll-2. This survey was conducted by the People’s Pulse Research Organisation between March 9 and March 22, 2026.

The poll suggests that the BJP may be able to get a simple majority on its own, without needing much support from its allies. This means the party could form the government independently if the predictions are correct.

On the other hand, the Indian National Congress has formed an alliance with the Raijor Dal. However, the survey indicates that this alliance may not benefit Congress much. Instead, Raijor Dal is likely to gain more advantage from the partnership.

Meanwhile, the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) appears to be improving its position, especially in lower and middle Assam. This improvement is said to be due to certain local factors and individual leaders influencing voters in those areas.

The Tracker Poll-2 was prepared under the guidance of political analyst Dr. Ranjan Pandey, who is also the director of the research organisation. The survey gives an idea of the current mood of voters in Assam at an important time before the elections.

Overall, the poll shows that the BJP is in a strong position, while other parties are still trying to gain support and improve their chances in the upcoming elections.
