Reaping the Rewards of Hard work – A Report on the Placement Day celebrations at SRM VEC

The department of Placement and Training, SRM Valliammai Engineering College organised the Placement day on 5th August 2022 to honour the students who have been placed through the campus interviews. It was primarily held to felicitate and inspire the students who were selected in the campus placements and to wish them well in their career.
The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. V. Sam Jaba Singh, HR India- Head, Accenture. Ms. R. Harini, Correspondent, SRM VEC delivered the Presidential Address while Dr. B. Chidhambararajan, Director, SRM Valliammai Engineering College welcomed the gathering. The placement report was presented by Ms. J.J. Monica Paul, Head – Placement, SRM Valliammai Engineering College. The function was convened and felicitated by                        Dr. M. Murugan, Principal, SRM Valliammai Engineering College.                    Ms. J.J. Monica Paul, Head-Placement, SRM Valliammai Engineering College proposed a vote of thanks.
While congratulating the students, the Chief Guest in his address, said
they need to concentrate on their personal growth and as well as on the contribution of the  individual  to  society.  He lauded these achievers for their
 
accomplishments and motivated them to take up their responsibilities meticulously as they step into their next milestone. He further encouraged the Placement cell to strive continuously to connect with more recruiters to provide excellent placement opportunities.
The Correspondent, in her Presidential Address, spoke encouragingly about the hard work of the students and praised them for their well deserved success.
The Director in his address complimented the department of placement and Training for its relentless endeavours.
The Placement-Head, in her report placed on record that 87 companies had visited the college for placements and 615 offer letters were handed over to the candidates. The highest package received was Rs.8.5 lakhs per annum while the average pay scale offered was 3.5 lakhs per annum.
The successful candidates who have been placed were given an opportunity to come to the dais to express their feelings and to narrate their experiences as they bid goodbye to their alma mater and move to their next phase of life. They also interacted with the final year students where the juniors came up with doubts which were clarified by their successful seniors.
 
The students were on cloud nine as they celebrated their placements after being placed with the top-notch companies. The students had gathered happily to commemorate the day and to make it a memorable one.
