15th EV EXPO 2022, India's largest expo dedicated to eco-friendly
electric Vehicle technology was inaugurated by Shri. Bhanu Pratap Singh
Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises, on 5th August at Pragati Maidan.

New Delhi, August 5, 2022 -  India's prominent eco-friendly Electric
Vehicle Technology Expo '15th EVEXPO 2022' started with an enthusiastic
response at Hall No. 11,  Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The 3-day event
where around 100 companies are participating, is showcasing the latest
and technologically advanced, pollution-free 2, 3 & 4 wheeled
e-vehicles, parts and accessories, charging solutions, and technology
from around 100 national and international companies.

The Expo was inaugurated by Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Hon’ble
Minister of State, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Speaking on the Occasion Sh. Verma said "It is our Hon'ble PM Shri
Narendra Modi's vision that to minimise damage to our environment, the
use of polluting fuels like petrol and diesel should be minimised, and
when we do that, the use of electric vehicles would increase. Till now
only 0.35% is the volume of EVs on our roads, but in the near future,
its use is going to grow rapidly. There are millions of small units
working in the MSME sector and are contributing around 30% to the
country's GDP with more than 11 crore people employed in this sector.
These units have always stepped up to fulfill the needs of this country
like the way they vary rapidly did during the Corona pandemic by
manufacturing sanitizers, masks, and other items desperately required by
the country. In the same way, they can contribute to the EV industry and
I urge the entrepreneurs and MSMEs working in this field to take the EV
industry forward rapidly, as, in the future, the demand and use of
Electric-vehicles would go up manifolds"

EV Expo 2022 is the 15th edition of India’s largest Eco-friendly
Electric Vehicle Expo & offers comprehensive market information, great
business opportunities and a platform for networking amongst the
stakeholders i.e., EV manufacturers, Technology developers, Battery
manufacturers, Charging infrastructure partners, Component
manufacturers, Distribution partners, Policymakers and regulators from
Government & Ministries, Private Organisations, Industry Associations,
etc. EV Expo 2022 brings to the Electric vehicle industry the
opportunity to showcase, launch, see and understand the latest in
electric vehicles, components and services for convenient and
environment-friendly transportation of passengers and goods.

Mr. Anuj Sharma, Chairman, Electric Vehicle Committee, Govt. of India &
Founder EV Expo said "As the Central Government's FAME II subsidy is
coming to an end, I feel that the State Governments should come forward
now.  Already Gujarat is offering Rs 20,000/- State subsidy on
2-wheelers and Delhi is offering Rs. 15,000/- subsidy. As various States
are finalising their EV Policies, we have requested them to support the
Hon’ble Prime Minister's dream that maximum people should adopt Electric
Vehicles, by offering Rs 15000/- and 20,000/- subsidy on 2 and 3 wheeled
EVs respectively.   We have been organizing this Expo, so that the
manufacturers of E-vehicles, batteries, and charging stations, as well
as service providers of the EV ecosystem, get a platform to showcase
their latest products and services and make most of the growing interest
and demand in EV space ”

Mr. Rajiv Arora, Organizer, EV EXPO 2022 said “There is a lot of buzz
and excitement all around us, and rapid progress is happening in EV
space- which is the future of sustainable, eco-friendly mobility. Every
day, we hear of new initiatives, policies, and infrastructure being
planned or unveiled by the Centre and various State Governments which is
making the adoption of EVs easier. For this 15th edition of EV Expo
2022, we got an enthusiastic response with around 100 exhibitors from
across the country participating. We have witnessed some exciting new
launches of Electric Vehicles as well as charging technology and
products and will see more as the Expo progresses. With the kind of
