Chennai, April 30th 2022: Hon’ble Minister for Tourism of Tamil Nadu Dr.M.Mathiventhan along with Dr.B.Chandra Mohan,IAS (Principal Secretary to Government Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments Dept & Chairman,TTDC) and Thiru.Sandeep Nanduri,IAS (Director of Tourism and Managing Director of TTDC) felicitates the winners of ‘WOW TAMILNADU 2021 AWARDS’ in the presence of the most prestigious jury – Vetrimaaran (Film Director), G.Venket Ram (Ace Photographer) and P.C.Sreeram (Film Director) in the Grand Award Ceremony at Government Museum, Egmore, Chennai.

WOW TAMILNADU 2021 AWARDS is the most honourable award for the very own skilled visual makers across India, organized by Global Media Box Innovations Pvt Ltd. In collaboration with the Department of Tourism TamilNadu , a photography and videography contest was held to hunt down talented visual makers who have the ability to elevate the tourism experience through their eye-catching clicks.

Hon’ble Minister for Tourism of Tamil Nadu Dr.M.Mathiventhan speaking at the grand award ceremony said “During COVID situations and lockdown both travel and tourism was not in a stable condition. The Government of India is working to bring back tourism to stability in the upcoming years. The WOW Tamil Nadu contest is a great initiative to identify and bring together talented people across the country and I also appreciate the prestigious jury for distributing the prizes to winners and participants of WOW Tamil Nadu contest”

Director of Tourism and Managing Director of TTDC, Thiru.Sandeep Nanduri,IAS added “I would like to congratulate all award winners and participants for their remarkable efforts. Every month we are bringing up different contests in Heritage, Wildlife and more to encourage Photographers and Videographers to participate and show their talents.The WOW Tamil Nadu contest helps us elevate the tourism experience through talented Photographers and Videographers”.

Vetrimaaran (Film Director) further added “Nowadays everyone has mobile phones to capture everything or anything they can which allows them to have exposure to everything. The WOW Tamilnadu contest is an interesting concept to explore Tamil Nadu and its beautiful culture and heritage”

The grand winner of WOW TAMILNADU 2021 was Jenith M who was rewarded with a Brand-new car at the Grand Award Ceremony.
