Green Marathon 2025 Organised by Directorate of Sports at Acharapakkam Campus
The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), successfully organized the Green Marathon 2025 at the Acharapakkam Campus to commemorate the birthday of the Hon’ble Founder Chancellor.
Over 500 students enthusiastically participated in this meaningful event. As part of a green initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), each participant planted a tree sapling at the SRMIST College of Agricultural Sciences, demonstrating the institute’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action.
The marathon was flagged off by
* Dr. M. Jawaharlal, Dean, College of Agricultural Sciences
* Dr. R. Mohanakrishnan, Director of Sports, SRMIST
The event was further graced by the presence of Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Hon’ble Registrar, SRMIST, who distributed cash prizes worth ₹1.5 lakhs to the winners.
