Addverb partners with leading academic institutions to foster India’s robotics innovation ecosystem
Bridging the gap between academia and industry has never been more crucial in the age of intelligent automation. Addverb, a global leader in robotics and automation, is partnering with leading institutions such as IIT’s, NAMTECH, and NIIT Neemrana, Rajasthan offering them cobots, Trakr, AGV’s AMRs and shuttles to establish Centres of Excellence (CoEs) that foster research, innovation, and skill development in robotics and automation.
These Centres of Excellence, focused on smart and physical AI, collaborative robots (Cobots) and Addverb’s Quadruped- Trakr, are being set up at subsidised costs to make advanced robotics education more accessible. They will serve as hubs for research and development, IP creation, and industry-driven learning, allowing students to work on real-world automation technologies used in global manufacturing and warehousing environments.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Sangeet Kumar, CEO and Co- founder, Addverb, said: “At Addverb, we believe that innovation thrives when academia and industry collaborate closely. These partnerships aim to prepare the next generation of engineers for the evolving world of robotics, foster research excellence, and contribute to India’s leadership in advanced automation.”
Through these academic alliances, Addverb will:
-
Facilitate collaborative R&D in robotics and automation
-
Offer Capstone Projects for B.Tech and M.Tech students
-
Conduct internships, industrial training, and workshops led by Addverb professionals
-
Support student-led innovation projects and mentorship opportunities
-
Introduce robotics awareness programs in schools to inspire early STEM learning
Addverb’s collaboration also aligns with several Special Interest Group (SIG) initiatives to strengthen India’s technology talent pipeline. Furthering its commitment to open innovation, Addverb’s physical ai website - AddverbAI is step towards open-sourcing select codebases to enable researchers and developers to experiment with real-world automation applications.
As an immediate impact of the initiative, students of IIT Gandhinagar were able to present couple of late breaking paper at IEEE RAS Humanoids and Conference on Robot Learning (CoRL) in Seoul, South Korea.
By building a strong bridge between education and industry, Addverb continues to nurture a future-ready workforce and drive India’s transformation into a global robotics innovation hub.
