Woman jumps to death from south Delhi college building
NEW DELHI: A young woman on Wednesday committed suicide by jumping from a building of a south Delhi college, the Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
Megha Rathore, 20, was working as a sports attendant at a gymnasium in the Institute of Home Economics in Hauz Khas.
The police said some students and security guards found Megha lying on the floor in front of the building around 8:45 a.m. She was taken to a hospital but died from her injuries later.
The management informed police about the incident. During inquiry, Megha was found to have jumped from the third floor of the building, Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal said.
The reason for her extreme step could not be ascertained immediately.
