SVS Medical College chairperson says, it's murder
Chennai: Vasuki Subramanian, who runs the SVS Medical College of Yoga and Naturopathy, Kallakurichi in Villupuram district, has given a statement before the magistrate at Kallakurichi that the death of the three students of the college was a pre-meditated murder and not suicide.
Appearing before the judge yesterday, she charged that some policemen were trying to trap her in the case by booking it as suicide. She said the three students were doing well in college and had never indulged in any protests.
How is it possible for the three girls to tie their hands together and commit suicide, asked Vasuki. She was of the opinion that it was a planned murder and if she was allowed half-an-hour's time, she would be able to produce all the evidence, she said.
Stating that some people were working to get the college shut, she alleged that a policeman had even openly challenged that he would ensure that the college was closed down. Vasuki was later shifted the Cuddalore prison.
