Ritual and Reason, evoking the sensual in art'- an exhibition of objects ideas, symbols and artworks. Through the ages all art has been, in one way or the other, is an expression of the sacred or the sensual. Age-old aspects like personal adornment, ritualistic practice, expressions of religious icons have all added up to form the practice of contemporary art. Reflection on life and nature has been a natural extension of the sacred and sensual.
In evaluating depictions of nature and creation, one can start with the dot in a line, in the zero in mathematics, space in abstraction and silence in music to name a few. The different forms in compositions allow the evolution of ideas. The interpretation of ideas gives rise to the way of reading the different layers. It is this layering that allows for infinite possibilities in art.
