RJD leader and close aide of Lalu Prasad Yadav shot dead in Bih
PATNA: A group of men shot dead Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Kedar Rai in the wee hours of Thursday in Patna. Reports say that Rai was shot at while he was on his morning walk at the Sugna road near his residence at Nayatola.
Rai, also known to be a close aide of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, was rushed to a private hospital after being shot at. He was declared dead at the hospital.
Reports say three shots were fired at Rai by the culprits. Reports say Rai’s elder brother was also with him when the incident happened.
While his family is in mourning, the police are probing the incident.
Rai had won the last four elections from Danapur Ward 15. His wife Shobha Devi is a war councillor from Ward 16.
