No poll manifesto, but vision document from BJP
Chennai: With just a few months to go for Assembly elections, the Tamilnadu unit of the BJP went into a huddle today to discuss its preparations to face the polls.
The meeting was chaired by BJP's State-in-charge Muralidhar Rao in which Tamilnadu unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan, national secretary H Raja and senior leaders took part.
Tamilisai Soundararajan said, "We have convened the meeting to discuss strategies for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Tamilnadu. We will come up with a vision document for the all-round development of Tamilnadu. Various issues that need a mention in the document were discussed," she said.
"Unlike others, we are not for an election manifesto. But, ours will be a vision document that will go a long way in ensuring all-round development of Tamilnadu."
"We will come up with points that lay stress on industrial growth, economic revival and addressing the needs of various sections of society," she added. The party has been organising various meets at the district and taluk levels to cadres and seek their suggestions in the recent past.
