CHENNAI: Ten days after the Tamil Nadu assembly expressed its confidence in the government of chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami amidst commotion and allegations of rule violations, the Madras high court on Monday asked for the video of the entire assembly proceedings.

Issuing notice to the assembly speaker, both in his capacity as head of the house and in his individual capacity, the first bench comprising acting Chief Justice Huluvadi G Ramesh and Justice R Mahadevan posted the matter to March 10 for further hearing.

"Assembly secretary is directed to produce the videograph recorded from the commencement of confidence motion till the end," said the order.
