Ramasamy C, aged 25, working in Mumbai hit a jackpot of INR 1 crore prize money from the recently conducted Dear Lohri Makar Sankranti Bumper lottery by Government of Nagaland.

Ramasamy was utterly surprised when he casually checked the Government of Nagaland website on his way back to his hometown in Tamil Nadu, for his Pongal holidays and found out that he had won a whopping INR 1 crore.

Speaking after winning the Jackpot, Ramasamy said, “I am excited on winning the Dear Lohri Makar Sankranti Bumper lottery and my lifelong dream of constructing a pucca house will now come true.”

He also added that he will be spending a formidable amount of his win on his family and the rest on his marriage.

Mr. Ramasamy previously bought a Dear New Year Bumper lottery ticket with his senior colleague and missed the prize money by a difference of just one number from the winning ticket. Deciding to try his luck again, Ramasamy reluctantly bought another ticket for INR 1000, which changed the fortunes of his life.

Initially, Ramasamy wanted to purchase a ticket with his lucky number 5 on it. But it was not available and therefore he bought the fifth ticket in the series, which ended with the number 26. He was happy to have purchased this ticket as the number 26 matched with the hall ticket of his defense exam, in which he had passed and got a job.

Currently, Ramasamy is hoping to find a suitable life partner for himself and his parents and his elder brother are overjoyed and thrilled with his lottery win.
