Karunanidhi to contest in Tiruvarur for 2nd time
Chennai: DMK president M Karunanidhi is expected to contest from Tiruvarur constituency for the second term in the forthcoming Assembly election. He contested from Tiruvarur for the first time in 2011.
The process of filing nominations will begin on 22 April. He will file his nomination and begin his campaigning soon after that. A van has been customised for Karunanidhi who is wheelchair bound. He has an extensive tour schedule and will be conducting meetings in many constituencies.
In 2011 elections, Karunanidhi had the highest winning margin of his political career with more than 50,000 votes. Karunanidhi has never lost an election since 1957.
