Four injured in road mishap on Anna Salai
Chennai: In an early morning mishap, a lorry overturned at Anna Salai today, causing injuries to four occupants in the vehicle. According to police sources, at around 6.40 am, the lorry which was on its way to Triplicane, lost control and turned turtle on Walajah Salai.
The vehicle had collected drain water from various places and was going to Triplicane to drop two workers. Four occupants including Parthigul, Pappal, Adigosh and Sathishal, all reportedly from North India, suffered minor injuries. Officials subsequently used a crane to remove the lorry from the spot.
Police also said that the ensuing commotion caused traffic snarls in the stretch, with vehicles moving at slow pace. Anna Square Traffic Investigation has registered a case, while the injured are being treated at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
