Chennai: An Air India air hostess ended her life, citing work pressure, at Meenambakkam.

According to police sources, Dhanpreet Singh Paul (32) lived with her husband Anoop Nayar and three-year-old child in Tenth Block in Air India Colony. Last evening, the police said, Dhanpreet left the child with her parents in Teacher's Colony and said she was going to work.

Anoop, who is also a flight steward, went to his in-laws' place and spent time with his child, assuming that Dhanpreet was at work. Later, the police said, when Anoop returned home with the child, he found Dhanpreet hanging from the ceiling of a room.

He rushed her to a nearby private hospital and later shifted her to Chrompet Government Hospital. However, she could not be saved. Preliminary investigations claimed that Dhanpreet took the extreme step due to work pressure. Anoop and Dhanpreet had a peaceful married life, the police said.
