Debutant director Ashok's Peechaankai hit the screens today among good anticipation, thanks to the interesting trailer of the film.
Smuthu (Karthik) is known to be an expert pickpocket and he's stealing the things smartly with his left hand. On his smooth journey, Smuthu gets a big deal to snatch a mobile phone of a powerful politician.
In the meantime, Smuthu met with accident from that his left hand stops listening to him. Doctors call his situation as 'Alien Hand Syndrome', which means there is a miscommunication between his right and left brain.
How Smuthu overcome his rare medical condition and completes his big deal forms the crux of the story.
Newcomer RS Karthik did his best and carried the film with his shoulder. The major strength of the film is director Ahsok's comic writing and his unique concept. But the slow pace of the film, especially in the second half is slightly worrying.
However, the hard work of the young team is make the film a humorous and watchable.
