Assassin's Creed Movie Review
The much awaited gaming movie Assassin's Creed stars Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 12 Years a Slave) and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, La Vie en Rose) hit the screens today.
The film is directed by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown, Macbeth); produced by New Regency, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, DMC Films and Kennedy/Marshall; and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
Being a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed games, this movie was thoroughly enjoyable. The first hour of the movie takes its own time to setup the tone and explains the basics of the story for people who haven't played the AC games. It still has 2 pretty good action sequences setup in the 15th Century portions.
The 15th Century portions are a treat for your eyes and the action sequences are well choreographed and stays true to the game's fighting styles. The movie is filled with Easter Eggs from the game series and would be an enjoyable one for the fans.
The soundtrack of the movie right from the opening portions till the end, is stunning and elevates the movie and visuals to another level.
Overall, the movie is a treat for the AC Game lovers and for others, the movie will be visually stunning and will start to like the series as it goes ahead as this part, sets up the perfect premise for the sequels to come.
