Actress RaiLaxmi explains why she has accepted "NEEYA 2" Project

The event commenced with Vetrimaaran rendering his speech and said, “I have always admired Suresh for his earnest efforts of not giving upon anything. I have been so close to him from the time of working together in the school of Balu Mahendra sir. I have never seen him getting tired or exhausted at any point of time. In fact, I have learnt a lot of such inspirations from me and I am sure that the film will be a good hit as I can make it out from the songs and trailer itself.”

Actress Priyadarshini, who has played an important role in the film said, “I want to give my thanks to Jumbo Cinemas and director Suresh for giving an opportunity to work in this film. While working in this film, we weren’t sure about how the songs and visuals are going to be as most of them had to be processed with VFX.”

Dance Master Viji said, “There were lots of challenges involved in the choreography of a particular song, where the appearance of RaiLaxmi and Catherine Tresa would be swapped often. Sridhar sir was happy that the song has come out very well. This song demanded for a lot of team effort as there were many challenges involved. The steps for both these artistes were to be different and am thankful to the entire team for giving me an opportunity.”

Actor BalaSaravanan said, “What I like about Suresh sir is the way he treats everyone on the sets. Be it a newcomer or an existing top league actor, he always cares the same with good respect. The film has come out very well with the decorous package of commercial ingredients. Just as Vetrimaaran sir said, I am really aware about the fascinating nature of Suresh sir and the film is definitely going to be a good hit.”

Art Director Ayyappan said, “I am thankful to both producer and director for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this film.”

Actress RaiLaxmi said, “I am meeting you all after a long time and it’s been a great experience working with the team of Neeya 2. The story is so unique and it has lots of new elements. The film is a fantasy genre and already I have come across lots of snake based films, which I had to refuse. But this one was quite amazing when Suresh sir narrated me the story. He narrated me the story when I was in Mumbai and he took nearly 3hrs for the story telling. I was doubtful whether he would be able to bring it visually as promised. He has given so much of dedication into the project and even now I am not able to believe that I am a part of this project. After 10yrs, I am working with Jai after Vamanan. It was really a great experience working with him.

Music Director Shabir said, “I am thankful to Suresh sir for being so much supportive and we had lots of discussions too. I am also thankful to him for giving me lot of freedom. Apart from songs, the re-recording was pretty challenging. I had to work a lot on giving best on par with the actors and technicians.

Director Suresh said, “While thinking about a film to be made on snake based theme, I wanted to make something different. The story was developed well with the inputs of Producer Sridhar. Initially, we decided to shoot the film in Bangkok. We went there and got shocked to see that every house in that place had the snakes pampered as pets. When I was showing the picture of Cobra from Bangkok, none believed it to be true. All thought that it was CG. When it comes to performances, Jai has done a remarkable job. There was a particular scene in the film, where Jai had to perform stunts under hot sun. He was fasting during that time and even then, he managed to make it happen. Rai Laxmi has done a remarkable job and there were sequences, where she had to strain herself physically and mentally. Catherine Tresa has given a casual yet enthralling performance. Varalaxmi is appealing with her fabulous spell. The film is an out and out romantic thriller and am sure everyone will enjoy the film.”
